Youth Works are delighted to be one of the Northamptonshire based organisations able to deliver support to young people aged 16 to 24 years who are not in employment, education or training.
Work Readiness Action Programme (WRAP)
The Work Readiness Action Programme is a Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project, funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund, aiming to engage and support people into employment or training.
Youth Works provide a bespoke programme according to the needs of individual young people. On entry to the programme, barriers to gaining employment or training are identified.
Support is then provided to address those barriers, helping young people to achieve their employment or training goal.
Examples of the support that can be provided includes, but is not limited to:
- skills development and vocational training, such as gaining the CSCS card to gain employment on building sites
- personal development, such as building confidence, self-esteem or addressing anxiety issues
- finding solutions to practical problems, such as supporting young people in passing their driving tests to enable them to travel to the work place
If you are aged 16 to 24 years and need support in gaining employment or training, please contact us to arrange an appointment to come in for a chat.
