Teacher training days

The college will be closed to learners on teacher training days. The following dates are the teacher training days for the 2021 to 2022 academic year:

• Wednesday 1^st September 2021

• Thursday 2^nd September 2021

• Friday 3^rd September 2021

• Tuesday 4^th January 2022

• Monday 6^th June 2022

Ofsted

Youth Works Community College is delighted to have been rated as a ‘Good’ school after its first Ofsted inspection in April 2019.

Some of the key findings reported by the Inspector include:

• Adults know pupils extremely well and these positive relationships help to ensure that pupils settle quickly and make good progress.
• The quality of teaching is consistently good. Staff plan a range of stimulating activities that motivate and challenge pupils.
• Staff are dedicated and proud to work at the school. They are keen to learn new skills and are determined for pupils to succeed.
